Weird ritualistic complex found outside Stonehenge and it’s way older

Just as the British government was about the throw up some military housing a couples miles outside of the Stonehenge site, they came across something odd. It wasn’t a cool gold coin either, it was a ritualistic complex, made up of concentric circles.

What’s even crazier is that fact these structures are believed to be more than 1000 years older than Stonehenge itself.

“The newly found site is one of the most exciting discoveries in the Stonehenge landscape that archaeologists have ever made,” a prehistorian with Wessex Archaeology, proclaimed to The Independent.

Archeologists tending to the site have already dug up smashed bowls, cattle bones and even human remains. This further suggests that the mysterious site was used for rituals for burials and sacrifices.

The mystery surrounding Stonehenge continues to puzzle and amaze us as time goes on. Will we ever know the true history behind Stonehenge? While that can’t said with any certainty, every new discover is a step in that direction.
